The third watch in the Ocean Plastic Timepieces series was officially unveiled by Tom Ford – the N.004 Timepiece watch. The watch was created and made in collaboration with suppliers who share a dedication to sustainability as we see more luxury brands make more eco-friendly moves.

The minimalist 27mm x 48.5mm case of the Swiss-made design has a PVD-plated stainless steel caseback. Additionally, it has a 3 ATM certification, a two-hand quartz movement, and the recognisable Tom Ford braided strap made entirely of ocean plastic. The N.004 Timepiece design emphasises a minimalist, elegant look with slight design changes whilst soon to expand later this fall into a chic recycled stainless-steel casing.

Tom Ford stated that “I love that by producing these timepieces we are helping clean up the ocean by removing plastic from the waters as well as permanently preventing more waste from ever going back into it.” None of the timepieces, according to Tom Ford, were created using virgin or non-ocean bound plastic. The N.004 removes the equivalent of 35 plastic bottles from the ocean with each purchase.

“For every 1,000 Ocean Plastic Timepieces we produce, we permanently remove and prevent the equivalent of 35,000 bottles of plastic waste, which is equivalent to 490 pounds of plastic trash from entering the ocean.”

For $995, the model is now offered in black and white at Tom Ford boutiques, on the company’s website, and in a few other select stores across the world.
