We all know recently big tech brands and social media have taken a hammering for users’ privacy, and the biggest social platform are getting on board. Facebook are rolling out Vanish Mode on Messenger and Instagram which allows users to send a text that will automatically disappear.

Once a message has been seen by the receiver and they exit the thread, it will vanish. If you try to be sneaky and take a screenshot, the sender will be notified. We don’t even want to think about the drama this may cause…Not too sure if you completely trust the receiver? Both you and the mate you’re texting will have to have the mode on, and you can opt-out of Vanish Mode at any time.

This sly service is currently available in the US and will soon be rolled out in Europe so you can slide into DM”s at peace.
