Drake’s shock follow-up album to ‘Certified Lover Boy’, titled ‘HONESTLY, NEVERMIND’ has been released (Jun 17). The 14-track set, dedicated to the late Virgil Abloh, is a blend of dance and house music, set to keep us dancing all summer long.

Drake has stunned fans by announcing this album less than 12 hours before release. It is lasting around 50 minutes, features a single guest appearance from 21 Savage on the closing track “Jimmy Cook’s,” as well as production work from the likes of Tay Keith, Gordo, Noah “40” Shebib, and Black Coffee, to name a few, with the latter two also serving as executive producers alongside Drizzy, Oliver El-Khatib, and Noel Cadastre.

However, the album also included a special dedication to late fashion icon Virgil Abloh, who died last November. Drake’s dedication was tucked neatly at the top of the Apple Music page, along with the lyrics to the title track. “DEDICATED TO OUR BROTHER V,” he wrote at the end.

HONESTLY, NEVERMIND follows the GRAMMY-nominated Certified Lover Boy, which featured a Damien Hirst-designed album cover depicting 12 pregnant women emojis. The album, featuring Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Giveon, Jay-Z, Travis Scott, Future, Young Thug, Yebba, 21 Savage, Project Pat, Tems, Ty Dolla Sign, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, and Kid Cudi, debuted at No. 1 and set the record for the biggest opening week of a 2021 album.

Meanwhile, Drake will most likely discuss the album during tonight’s premiere episode of his SiriusXM radio show Table For One, which he promoted on Instagram prior to the album’s announcement – if you want to learn more about the project’s backstory.
