A surprise weekend release was announced by YEEZY GAP in Miami, Chicago, and LA. The addresses directed people to parking lots throughout the city where hooded and masked individuals greeted potential customers while wearing black YEEZY GAP sweatshirts as the YEEZY GAP ENGINEERED BY BALENCIAGA collection went live at some GAP locations.

Guests could browse through piles of garments that were loaded into dumpsters and black transport trucks with dove motifs as they drove through the city. The five various shades of dark blue, gray-tint, and black were offered on t-shirts, hoodies, and other accessories. The experience felt theatrical and echoed the look of some of Kanye West’s most recent Sunday Service sessions because of the staff’s dark clothing, which was videotaped walking about the products before the sale.

“This first of its kind launch sees Ye’s peerless vision bring together the most influential designer of his generation, Demna, with iconic American brand, Gap,” announcing the collaboration with Balenciaga’s creative director, Demna.

Select Gap stores around the United States carry the partnership. Through sites that are “reengineered and distilled to their most essential form,” the extension is intended to further the utilitarian design philosophy of YEEZY GAP ENGINEERED BY BALENCIAGA. “Fulfilling the aim to deliver YEEZY GAP design on a greater scale” is the purpose of the retail experiences.

Those who missed out may still find the YEEZY GAP collection on the official website, Balenciaga, and at some GAP shops.
