Last night was the annual Billboard Awards, and it was a memorable night for many. The award ceremony was hosted by Nick Jonas in LA and included wins from many famous faces.

Not only did he perform, but The Weeknd dominated the evening, winning in 10 categories. This now places him in fifth on the all-time BBMA winners list, following Drake (29), Taylor Swift (25), Justin Bieber (21), and Garth Brooks (20). BTS won four awards, totalling their BBMA wins to nine. They won Best Group for the second time in three years and Best Social Artist for the fifth consecutive year.

Kanye West also won a couple of awards, including Top Gospel Artist for the second year; he’s won six of his eleven BBMA’s in Gospel or Christian categories.

Drake stole the show winning Artist of the Decade and Top Streaming Artist. He accepted Artist of the Decade award with his three-year-old son, Adonis, on stage holding his hand. Pink was honoured with Icon Award and also took her daughter, Willow, to the stage.

In Drake’s acceptance speech, he said: ‘I’m really bad at taking compliments. I’m really self-conscious about my music and even if I do a good job I always wonder how I could have done it better.  I rarely celebrate anything and just for anyone watching this wondering how this happened, that’s really the answer – it’s being so unsure of how you’re getting it done you kind of keep going in the hopes of figuring out the formula.’
