Virgil Abloh will be remembered for his unmistakable effect in the fashion and footwear industries, and while his future projects may be placed on hold in honour of his sad death, we do know that he had a few Nike (NYSE:NKE +1.25 percent) items in the works. One of those pieces is the Off-WhiteTM x Nike Air Force 1 Mid in Black, which, after originally appearing in October, has now been revealed.

When it came to the detailing of these sneakers, the late designer didn’t hold back. The upperparts are made of synthetic material with black and dark grey streaky designs over the mid-foot and toe boxes. Stitched-on Swooshes and canvas ankle straps are likewise finished in a stealthy skin, with bursts of orange on the lateral heel tabs and pink and yellow embellishments on the lace toggles. White accents may also be seen atop the laces and on the medial side’s Helvetica logo.

Underneath it all is a remixed midsole with curving edges, bright orange Airbags, and track spikes on the soles that are colour-blocked with pink, blue, and green embellishments.

Given the sensitivity surrounding his passing, an official release date for these might be pushed back, but as of now, they are set to appear in 2022 alongside a white colorway.
