For 24 hours, on the first Thursday of every month (including today), a limited number of Prada exclusive items will be made available. Behind this launch is ‘Timecapsule’, which debuted in 2019 – which is a monthly, limited-edition drop of a ready-to-wear item that can only be purchased on the Prada site.

In the beginning of the year, Prada dabbled in NFTs with sports giant Adidas, but are now venturing off into their own solo project. After releasing an almost instantly sold-out NFT collection in June, July is awaiting another exclusive drop, featuring shirts.

The physical garment was created from repurposed materials from the Prada archive with a focus on sustainability. On the back, the word “July” is written in white inside the label’s distinctive triangle logo. It has a note that explains the history of the shirt’s upcycling and its limited edition of 50. The shirt’s front has a louder pattern that combines elements of vintage Prada designs.

A “Jacquard Animalier” silk brocade and lurex fabric, as well as a Holliday & Brown tulip print, are used to create the shirt’s striking pattern. The black cotton poplin fabric serves as the shirt’s foundation. An early 20th-century French archive provided the silk used for the “Jacquard Thrush” floral print, and a print from the “Poplin Loto” collection added to the art deco elements.

Anyone interested in participating is welcome to join “Prada Crypted,” the company’s new Discord community server is open. The most recent drop is happening on July 7 at 3 p.m. ET.
