Nike is turning back the clock to the 1990s in more ways than one with this latest release of the modified-for-kids Nike Little Posite One.
This shrunken silhouette of the original Air Foamposite One has been massively popular among the smaller-footed community, with exciting colorways such as this “Copa” offering providing an extraneous concept that connects to the days of yore. Aside from the vibrant blue upper, Nike adds some 90s-heavy details such as the lenticular material on the lace collar and graffiti-style text that hints at the mixtapes that were spent hours creating on boomboxes. Even the “EJECT” detailing on the inner side of the tongue alludes to the now-ancient cassette tape, while “POSITE MIX 97” provides a title for these homemade mixes.
With the recent release of the collaborative CDG Foamposites, this newfound energy around the ’97 silhouette has us quite excited for what may be in store in 2022 – the 25th Anniversary of the Eric Avar-designed model. We’ll have to wait to see if Nike has something special for the Foamposite’s big XXV milestone, but you can cop these kids-exclusives now on Nike.
