The artwork from Ed Sheeran’s most recent album, Equals, served as inspiration for the limited-edition conscious capsule collection being introduced by Lucy & Yak, an indie apparel brand.
The unisex Ed Sheeran & Yak line, which debuts on July 14, includes the organic dungarees that he enjoys wearing, as well as a hoodie, T-shirt, and bucket hat with a black and ecru butterfly motif to ensure “wearability throughout all seasons.”
Because both Ed Sheeran and his wife care deeply about the environment, Lucy & Yak said in the press announcement that the collection was also created with a sustainability perspective. The reversible Travis bucket hats are produced entirely from deadstock fabric, while other items from the line are made of organic cotton.
The butterfly used in Ed’s album artwork has a very special meaning for him, and Lucy Greenwood, co-founder of Lucy & Yak, said: “We’re honoured to be able to bring this to life as part of such a special collection of Yaks, especially as we know that Ed shares our passion for doing better for the environment.
