Following its recent rebrand, Zegna expands its outdoor presence with a new footwear collaboration with the Italian label La Sportiva.

The Ultra Raptor and Tx Top mountain running shoes combine La Sportiva’s signature technology and hiking endurance sensibilities with Zegna’s aesthetic, resulting in a luxe take on a classic mountainousness shoe. Zegna and La Sportiva create an upper for the Ultra Raptor out of Air Mesh interwoven with microfiber to reinforce the structure, which is then decorated in yellow and vicuna detailing.

An integrated lacing system extends from the Air Mesh upper, hooking into it for a secure and snug fit. All of this adds up to an abrasion-resistant, hard-wearing upper that can take a beating on your mountain walks, while elements like the GORE-TEX Extended Comfort lining keep your feet safe. This is complemented by an ultra-sticky FriXion XF with Impact Brake System sole unit that’s lined with shock-absorbing EVA foam and aided by an Ortholite footbed for added comfort.

The Tx Top boot is just as capable, with a single mesh upper that includes a water-repellent and anti-drag stretch gaiter, as well as PU-Tech Lite protective rubber and GORE-TEX-capped elements on the toe. For comfort, support, traction, and durability, the sole features Vibram MegaGrip combined with an Impact Brake System and Ortholite’s 4mm Approach footbed.
