Touted as the world’s FIRST AVATAR SINGING COMPETITION show, Alter Ego is the next iteration of the musical competition series. Competing in the competition will be 20 aspiring singers from all walks of life but instead of competing as themselves, they will be creating their dream avatar to become the star they have always wanted to be. Interestingly, neither the judges nor the audience will see the real contestant until the very end of the show or when they are eliminated.

A two night premier will launch on Fox Entertainment on 22nd & 23rd September hosted by Rocsi Diaz, with Will.i.am, Grimes, Alanis Morissette and Nick Lachey serving on the judging panel.

The contestants will be using the technology of ‘motion capture picture’ to present their performances, Fox News reported. “People always judge me by the way I look, by the way, I sang. But I’ve realised I don’t have to be afraid,” says one of the contestants in the sneak peek of the show.
