FTX is the Golden State Warriors’ official cryptocurrency platform and NFT marketplace for all things digital.

The partnership is the first of its kind in professional sports, with the NBA franchise launching its NFTs on FTX. “Cryptocurrency has a well-established worldwide community and will continue to be a major part of the sports, media, and entertainment industries,” Warriors President and Chief Operating Officer Brandon Schneider said of the partnership. We quickly realised our shared desire to innovate around cryptocurrency integration and adoption, including the role NFTs play in global fan engagement, during our conversations with FTX.”

The Warriors are the most recent team to join the NFT craze. To better associate themselves with the professional sports world, Crypto.com recently partnered with the Philadelphia 76ers and renamed Staples Center. Earlier this year, the Warriors became the first sports team to execute an NFT drop. To mark the occasion, the Warriors and FTX will present three Bitcoins to three different non-profit organisations in the Bay Area. Self-eStem, Mission Bit, and Techbridge girls are among the three recipients.

“Through our partnership with Stephen Curry, we were introduced to the Warriors organisation, and we are excited to partner with a franchise that aligns with our core values,” said FTX U.S. President Brett Harrison. The FTX US NFT Platform will provide the Warriors’ international fan base with a leading, safe, and secure venue to access exclusive collectables from the franchise.”
