The brand-new Lens watch face adds a new level of personalization. You can now showcase your favourite image on your wrist from your personal photo library or NFT collection.
The Lens, a new software feature from TAG Heuer, lets you link cryptocurrency wallets like Metamask and Ledger Live and then display one or more NFTs on your linked watch. Both static photos and animated GIFs, which play as loops indefinitely, are supported by Lens.
Users of the TAG Heuer Calibre E4 smartwatch are now able to access the new feature as a free update in app stores. The CEO of the company, Frederic Arnault, also posted a photo of himself wearing the watch with his own Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT on the face to Instagram to encourage the new integration.
TAG is not the only timepiece to enter the Web3 space; recently, Hublot unveiled a limited-edition hardware wallet in partnership with Ledger, a provider of crypto-security solutions. With brands like Prada, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Balmain, Balenciaga, and more becoming more active with digital assets, adoption is quickly rising, especially in the area of luxury.
Any Ethereum-based NFT is compatible with the integration, which operates by allowing users to connect to Web3 wallets like MetaMask and Ledger Live.
