In a groundbreaking move, CAMH has partnered with adidas Basketball to unveil CAMH COURT, the first-ever playable basketball court in an art museum.

This dynamic collaboration features the mind-blowing designs of locally-based artist Trenton Doyle Hancock, who has transformed the museum’s Brown Foundation Gallery into a mesmerizing wonderland of imagination and athleticism. Hancock’s artistic vision is on full display as he infuses the basketball court, backboards, and basketballs with his signature striped Bringback characters and vibrant illustrations, covering every inch of the gallery’s floors, walls, and entrance. The result is an immersive and engaging experience that is sure to captivate audiences of all ages and backgrounds.

But this is more than just an exhibition. Throughout the month-long event, visitors can look forward to a range of programs and events supported by adidas Basketball, culminating in the highly-anticipated CAMH Ball on April 29, where attendees can participate in a sneakers auction and soak in the electric atmosphere.

Hancock’s shows have continually been some of the most celebrated in the institution’s almost 75-year history. His work creates new worlds for audiences to explore, and CAMH COURT offers an extension of this, again welcoming audiences into a space of fantasy and play.”

CAMH COURT will be open to the public from March 18 to April 27.
