Hopefully it’s not too early to start thinking about fall outfits but this week, we take a look at Canada Goose. They have called upon designers Feng Chen Wang and Xu Zhen to deconstruct their popular pieces for a FW22 collection which was exhibited at Paris Fashion Week.
London-based designer Feng Chen Wang and Chinese artist Xu Zhen have created a 12-piece collection which tears down Canada Goose’s legacy designs with exaggerated proportions and mechanical tailoring.
Feng Cheng Wang’s “future-modern” design codes and Xu Zhen’s upbeat prints have resulted in a line of knit and down coats for men, women, and unisex that all exhibit a preference for clothing that is both practical and innovative.
The collection is inspired by Wang’s experiences in life and features an unusual colour palette, with bright green tones dominating parka jackets in certain looks and dark greens and browns controlling pant and jacket combinations in others. The jacket selections, some of which are completely covered with the MadeIn founder’s characteristic works while others implement his bold designs on specific fabric areas, are where Zhen’s graphics primarily make their impression.
In the fall of 2022, customers will be able to purchase the entire collection. View the collaboration capsule up top.
