ADIDAS ADOPTS ACID HOUSE FOR AW18 THE BLUP

If you’re an 80s baby you may remember the summer of 1988- the summer that saw acid house take on the UK, and well, it never really left. Once those lazy and hazy summer nights came to an end, the movement moved indoors to abandoned warehouses. In celebration of that ‘acid winter’ adidas Spezial released its AW18, taking the genre as inspiration.

The collection exhibits the popular and classic styles of the mid-1980s, trainers like the Gazelle, Munchen Super, and the Marathon have all been updated for the AW18. A series of sweaters, tracksuit tops and anoraks echo prints and detailing.

The collection is to be released in two parts, with the first making its debut today. Watch the promo video below to take you back to that acid house summer of fun.
