London Fashion Week’s Roksanda held her long awaited first physical showcase since 2020 to present her A/W 2022 collection, which included an unlikely sportswear collaboration with Fila.

Roksanda’s dramatic shapes and signature vibrance combined with Fila’s technicality, inspired by comfort and protection, resulted in large duvets wrapping around the body. Meanwhile, leisurewear was inspired by parachutes incorporating Fila’s high-performance fabrics, in bold fluorescent colours.

Raised in Serbia, Roksanda states how she cherishes “personal memories of how much we all loved Fila pieces coming from Italy.”. She shares how the collection allowed her to “merge shapes and colours with a sense of performance and the outdoors”.

The womenswear designer also launched a series of NFTs as part of her AW22 collection in a partnership with Clearpay. Her demi-couture, sculptural gown in a geometric print was transformed into an NFT by the Institute of Digital Fashion.

Cattyta, co-founder and creative director of Institute of Digital Fashion, added how the digital garment “pushed the boundaries of Roksanda’s creative imagination”.
