The French apparel brand has expanded their horizons to sandbox gaming by unveiling their new season collaboration with Minecraft in Paris earlier this month.
The apparel collection launched on March 16 and includes various Lacoste staples like polos, sweatshirts and caps in which the designs are influenced by the pixelated Minecraft aesthetic.
As well as the capsule collection, the brands have united to tap further into the metaverse by developing Lacoste’s ‘Croco Island’.
Gamers now have access to this island which is a Minecraft map filled with multiple player tennis games, a digital version of the Lacoste store and other fun mini adventures.
The announcement was made at ESpot – an up-and-coming gaming venue in the French capital. Also in attendance were renowned gamers, Atomicmari and Shubble.
Atomicmari shared how: “gaming is universal, it transcends cultures and language much like fashion…the fact that a place like this is popular and smack in the middle of Paris, is unreal.”
You can view and buy the collection at the Lacoste website or in select stores worldwide.
