The Dior men’s artistic director presents an elegant take on the humble running shoe.
First glimpsed in the Dior Men’s Cruise 2022 lookbook earlier this year, the latest trainer design launched by Kim Jones is the covetable B-30. The latest addition to Jones’s growing curation of sneakers at the house is a departure from previous designs such as the B-27 and B-23 sneakers, which drew on silhouettes originally found in skateboarding and baseball. Instead, the B-30 takes its cue from the retro running trainer.
Incorporating technical materials in the upper of the shoe, such as mesh, together with a sturdy white sole, the Dior Men’s B-30 trainer marries sportswear details with the elegance of the house. The reflective curving ‘CD’ graphic on the side of the design echoes the shapes found in French Modernism.
As seen in the Cruise 2022 lookbook and new campaign photographed by Thibaut Grevet, both Jones’s loose suiting or charcoal grey nylon tracksuits make for the ultimate statement of nonchalant elegance when paired with the B-30s.
The new design is available across five colour-ways, including a Dior dove grey, lime green and beige.
