We have been given a rare insight into Virgil Abloh’s life at Louis Vuitton during the creation of one of his most dramatic Mens collections yet for Autumn/Winter 2021. In Monologue 6, you can watch the Off-White designer and his team discuss, design and create the “Ebonics / Snake Oil / The Black Box / Mirror Mirror” collection.

Located between an inner monologue and “a day in the life”, we get to witness Abloh in the Louis Vuitton offices during the fourteen-minute clip. The video is split into sections and includes a typed “inner monologue” which acts as a translation to the designer’s words.

Split into sections, after the first couple of minutes we see the thought and design process of a cowboy boot as he takes a pair of scissors to the shoe to shoot them for a lookbook. The video continues to reveal footage from photoshoots to the paper garments templates become the physical end product.
