Egypt has been broadening its appeal through artistic and cultural events. For the Dior “Dior Tears” capsule collection, unveiling took place at the Grand Egyptian Museum (Dec 2).

The pyramids of Giza stole the show on Saturday as 75 models strutted down the LED-lit runway – marking the amount of years passed since the renowned designer established his Parisian fashion brand in 1947.

Combat-ready geometric chest guards, graphic knit tees, and snakeskin outerwear were all sported alongside zippered trench coats. Neutral-coloured, sleek two-piece ensembles were supplied with delicate jackets, floor-length shawls, and strands of tulle that seemed to float in the sky. Suits are also included in the collection, alongside draped knits, and billowing bomber jackets, all accented with clear helmets, double-layered buckle belts, and kangaroo-style hand warmers for added protection from the desert winds.

Celebrities and influencers such as Naomi Campbell and Lewis Hamilton were also spotted in Egypt for the Dior show. Robert Pattinson, Scottish actor Thomas Doherty, South Korean rapper Oh Se-hun, Dior Global Ambassador Aron Piper, Colombian musician Manuel Turizo, and American model Amber Valletta were among the other international stars.
