After speculation, the UEFA have announced that UK-based ticket holders over the age of 11 will now be required to show proof of a Covid vaccination or negative test before entry.
Proof of vaccination will mean both doses have been received at least 14 days before the match. Fans will be able to show this via the NHS app. Those who haven’t been vaccinated will have to show a negative test within 48 hours prior to the game.
UEFA stated its “main priority” is to deliver a safe tournament and is “working with the local governments and health authorities to ensure measures adhere to the public health guidance of the host country”.
England play against Croatia in their opening group game on Sunday at Wembley. Wembley will host 25% of their capacity, a maximum of 22,500 fans.
