Adidas, are stepping up from the typical Adidas slider. They are now dropping their new Adilette 22 slip-on sneaker in three neutral colorways this week – “Aluminium,” “Carbon,” and “St Desert Sand”.
The “Aluminum” version of the Adilette 22 Slides has a light grey tone, whilst the “Carbon” version is much deeper. The words “THE BRAND WITH THE THREE STRIPES” are printed in black on the lateral sides as the only featured branding.
The shoes include a moulded footbed and a soft rubber outsole for best comfort on land or near water, inspired by 3D topography and human trips to Mars. Not only do the slides have a futuristic vibe but the natural and renewable materials utilised in manufacturing are also environmentally friendly. The slides are constructed of natural and renewable materials, according to Adidas. The brand said on the slides’ original product page, which is no longer active:, ‘What would slides look like in space?’ 3-D printed and inspired by human expeditions to Mars, they defy gravity with futuristic design details.”
“Black/Bone,” “Black,” and “Bone” will all be included in the second drop. Apart from the green and beige variations shown last week, marble patterns dominate the silhouette in “Black/Bone” and “Lime Sand,” both of which are a blend of green and beige tones.
The adidas Adilette 22 Slides will be available shortly on adidas.com and at select stores, priced at $60 USD. We see them arrive on 23rd June, while other colourways may drop later on in the year.
