The Pharrell x adidas Humanrace Samba Collection have been released at select retailers, after its skincare collection hit the shelves of Selfridges last week.
Pharrell has prepared two hues of the traditional football-turned-lifestyle silhouette for this project. Williams has used high-quality materials to reconstruct the iconic Samba and has dressed the collaboration in the straightforward “Night Grey” and “Cloud White” colorways to contrast the vibrant designs that customers have come to anticipate from Pharrell x Adidas sneaker projects.
“Humanrace doesn’t differentiate by race or gender. We’re creating for humans; we are all born in the same skin and Humanrace celebrates this.”
Pharrell Williams
TThe entire shoe is made of a blend of leather and suede, and it also has an enlarged tongue and “Human Race” logo on the side. The main variation is that he lengthened and tongues to give the kicks additional depth. The sole units contrast with the gum exteriors while the suede overlays are painted with a lighter grey colour.
Speaking on the Selfridges partnership, Andrew Keith, Selfridges Managing Director, shares how “Pharrell has been leading the way for sustainable best practice in product development for more than a decade…Humanrace and Selfridges will come together to explore shared ideas around circularity, wellbeing and inclusivity, helping customers to live a brighter and more sustainable future.
Shoppers may purchase the skin care line at Selfridges’ Beauty Workshop and the Men’s Designer Street Room in its London location.
